Empowering Emerging Filmmakers
Film connects like no other medium. Today, anyone with a phone camera has the potential to tell an amazing story through documentary films that brings us together as a human race. While it’s easier to create, it’s harder to get found, especially for emerging filmmakers who often lack access to early-career mentorship and filmmaking support. Beyond Boundaries seeks to support these emerging artists and eliminate barriers between them and their audience. We look for those unique stories that might vanish without our help. We know from experience that emerging filmmakers have unimaginable stories to share, and it’s our mission to find these individuals and ensure they receive the film grants and opportunities they deserve.
Bringing stories that matter to the forefront
Beyond Boundaries Films amplifies documentary films that challenge and inspire. We believe in film storytelling that forces us to confront difficult truths and sometimes even squirm in our seats. While any population can be the victim of environmental injustice, we see many more impactful stories emerging from communities on the margins—from places most of us might have never even heard of. A big part of our mission is to provide filmmaking support through film grants, boosting narratives about problems that deserve the spotlight of public awareness.
