Grants
The organization will solicit grant requests from filmmakers who aim to make films consistent with the organization’s mission. Funding consideration will be given for various stages of film production, including:
Production (up to 35% of film cost)
o Preproduction
o Production (location, crew, talent, equipment rental)
Post-Production (up to 35% of film cost)
o Editing
o Finishing
o Color Grading
o Sound
o Music
Promotion & Distribution (up to 30% of film cost)
o Festival Run
o Distribution
o Promotion (social media, etc.)
Structure of grants
The organization’s financial support for filmmakers will be structured as matching grants, requiring filmmakers to secure additional sources of funding and partnerships. Recipients must be open to receiving mentorship throughout the filmmaking process. Early-stage grants will be milestone-based, ensuring continued progress before additional funds are released.
The organization will commit to funding up to 25% of the total cost of a film. This grant funding model encourages both specific matching and independent fundraising efforts, increasing the likelihood of a film’s success.
